Worry? Laugh? YOU Choose

“Worrying is carrying tomorrow’s load with today’s strength- carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying doesn’t empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.”
― Corrie ten Boom

Anxiety  makes us ill in body, mind, and spirit, yet it is ingrained in our nature

from the moment we are born

I-have-spent-most-of-my-life-worrying

“If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that you can do something about it, then there is no need to worry. If it’s not fixable, then there is no help in worrying. There is no benefit in worrying whatsoever.”
― Dalai Lama XI
“How would your life be different if…You stopped worrying about things you can’t control and started focusing on the things you can? Let today be the day…You free yourself from fruitless worry, seize the day and take effective action on things you can change.”
― Steve MaraboliLife, the Truth, and Being Free

“Never worry alone. When anxiety grabs my mind, it is self-perpetuating. Worrisome thoughts reproduce faster than rabbits, so one of the most powerful ways to stop the spiral of worry is simply to disclose my worry to a friend… The simple act of reassurance from another human being [becomes] a tool of the Spirit to cast out fear — because peace and fear are both contagious.”
― John Ortberg Jr.The Me I Want to Be: Becoming God’s Best Version of You

My family’s word for over thinking

is Mental Kung-Fu.

Try saying it and soon you will smile

at the image of  thoughts wrangling with each other.

Laughter cuts through our  anxiety because

we realize how absurd we are.

Laughter really is the best medicine

  3. We all should really learn to laugh more. Lately, i find myself smiling for no reason and laughing all the time even when i should be angry and it’s helped my outlook on life a lot.

Thanks for this post. I was intrigued when i saw the name ‘mother of nine’ 😀
