Wordless Wednesday: My Eyes Are Drinking in Spring

Every spring it seems thay my soul is shriveled and starving, thirsting for
the life and colours of spring. I literally drink beauty in through my eyes.

What’s the best part about spring? Seeing all the gorgeous, colorful, sweet, and gentle blooms in your garden!  Flowers always make us feel happy, relaxed, and refreshed.

Edith Schaeffer: “If you have been afraid that your love of beautiful flowers . . . is somehow less spiritual than living in starkness or ugliness, remember that he who created you to be creative gave you the things with which to make beauty and the sensitivity to appreciate and respond to his creation.”

“All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today.”  Indian Proverb

“I will be the gladdest thing under the sun! I will touch a hundred flowers and not pick one.”
– Edna St. Vincent Millay

  1. I love the spring, too, for all it’s beauty and the promise of new life and new beginnings. The garden is such a beautiful place to pray. It’s really easy to just feel a wordless awe and gratitude. Lots of poems hide in the petals of fresh flowers.

  2. Love it, when the blossoms come on the trees, shrubs and the dandelions bloom. It is so refreshing after 8 to 9 months of snow! I can definitely relate to your joy in the flowers.

  3. Beautiful signs of spring! The flowers are such a joy to see.
My plants and flowers are just budding, and soon I’ll get the garden planted. For now, I’m so happy with green in the pasture. Spring was much anticipated this year.
