I just discovered a living, young artist, Mary Sauer, who manages to captures the essence of young children. There is a sense of whimsy in some, in others a sense of how delicate and vulnerable little people really are. Some eyes are open with wonder, others study the world with serious intent.
Dr. Seuss, author
“A person’s a person, no matter how small.”
When we were children, we used to think that when we were grown-up we would no longer be vulnerable. But to grow up is to accept vulnerability… To be alive is to be vulnerable.
“There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children.”
I found Mary’s paintings on her blog, Mary Sauer Art
